Alan Monsen

Director of Construction

Alan Monsen is the Director of Construction at Asilia Investments, where he leads all aspects of construction management across the company’s multifamily, commercial, industrial, and warehouse portfolio. With over 15 years of project management experience spanning real estate, finance, politics, technology, and property management, Alan has overseen the development and delivery of more than $250 million in commercial construction projects across the western U.S. He specializes on cost control, schedule optimization, and stakeholder coordination to enable delivery of high-quality projects on time and under budget.

Prior to joining Asilia, Alan built a strategic foundation in finance, regulation, and technology. He served as a Senior Analyst at Goldman Sachs, gaining valuable insights into real estate capital markets and financial structuring. He also worked as a Financial Crimes Specialist at Wells Fargo and as a Regulator for the State of Utah, where he focused on compliance, risk mitigation, and operational transparency. In the tech sector, Alan contributed to insight innovation at Qualtrics, broadening his multidisciplinary approach to solving complex problems. Active in his community, Alan ran for state senate and has served in various community roles such as the city’s planning commission. With a career that bridges construction, finance, and public service, he brings a results-driven mindset and collaborative leadership to every project he leads.

Alan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master’s in Finance from the University of Utah, as well as a Master’s in International Relations from King’s College London.
